• Manage and own the day-to-day client relationship and accounts within your assigned portfolio
• Work within team to manage freight data, and transportation spend, for large Client(s)
• Identify and manage the resolution of issues with clients, their carriers, management, and other internal departments
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives for client processing
• Utilize custom freight audit applications and ensure accuracy of automated rating
• Work with analyst to approve freight billing exceptions and work to manage issues and come up with resolutions of any discrepancies;
• Verify and approve freight rates and surcharges based on carrier contracts for high volume of invoices;
• Maintain client profiles and carrier contracts
• Prepare and validate reports, and period-end financial accruals;
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Bilingual written and verbal communication skills (English/French)
• University degree or post-secondary diploma / certificate an asset
• 3-5 years direct client service experience in the transportation industry
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, in particular MS Excel and Word
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong sense of urgency, organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills;
• Solid knowledge of small parcel/courier rating, as well as a strong understanding of Canadian/US carrier rating and tariffs
• Ability to analyse and work with large sets of data, and isolate issues, trends, etc.
