Job Summary
The Product Manager – Medical is responsible for managing marketing activities for the Medical product portfolio. Product lines include Plasma Sterilizers, Automated Endoscope Reprocessors (AERs), endoscope pre-cleaning and storage solutions and heat sealers along with various related products and accessories. This position works in close relationship with MarCom, Territory Managers and Senior Management to ensure the successful introduction of products and oversees major projects involving capital equipment installations in hospitals.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Plan and implement marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets
• Work in close relationship with MarCom to ensure the successful market introduction of products. This includes literature, print and electronic advertising, trade shows, website, training content and special events.
• Responsible for the development of proposals, bids and other documents describing Medical products in response to RFPs
• Responsible for the planning, management and coordination of equipment installations in healthcare facilities
• Support Sales Team on a day to day basis (customers’ requests, quotes, product information, and presentations)
• Responsible for providing Sales Team with the necessary technical expertise on products in collaboration with the technical specialist
• Develop and maintain deep understanding of customer needs as they relate to our business segments and link to our technology, characteristics and capabilities
• Seek and analyze competitors’ marketing and sales materials
• Obtain and disseminate competitive information and product updates
• Coordinate the response to product quality complaints with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
• Promote Medical products in front of customers through presentations, tradeshows, meetings and customer visits
• Work with outside labs, chemicals/equipment manufacturers and RA to conduct product validation studies
• Record, organize and disseminate knowledge acquired on different projects to raise the team expertise
• Annual review of the pricelist
• Assist Senior Management in developing the Marketing and Medical Division budget

Educational and Experience Requirements:
• Degree-level professional with a marketing track record, ideally within the healthcare and/or medical devices sector
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Customer-focused, outgoing, problem solver with the ability to work independently and provide leadership to the sales organization
• Project management experience and skills
• Excel, word, PowerPoint proficiency required. AS400, Nectari would be a plus.
• Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
• Strong business sense and industry expertise
• Bilingual English/French is required
• Driver’s license and current passport required (travel: 20% across Canada and Europe!)
